Business model

Volati creates value by acquiring and developing strong platforms. By working actively to develop companies in a sustainable and long-term perspective, Volati creates favourable conditions for organic growth.

Volati's business model is based on acquiring and developing well-established companies within existing platforms. Through long-term and active ownership, combined with complementary acquisitions, the platforms' market positions and profitability strengthen over time. The business model is built around four key components: local entrepreneurship, active ownership, competence and leadership, and value-creating add-on acquisitions.

Local entrepreneurship

Volati believes that the best business decisions are made close to customers, employees and markets. Operational responsibility rests with the management teams of the companies. Volati exercises ownership governance through board work. Based on local entrepreneurship and a decentralised model, Volati provides leadership, expertise, structure and financial resources.

Active ownership

Volati is a responsible, active owner. We monitor our business units' development at close range to ensure they have optimal conditions for developing greater value. We take clear responsibility for aspects such as the appointment of board members and company managers, strategic direction, capital allocation, sustainability efforts and guidelines and policies. For the individual businesses, this means support with clear strategy-management, which creates added value for them.

Value creating add-on acquisitions

Acquisitions form a central part of Volati's strategy, particularly add-on acquisitions that strengthen the platforms' market positions and contribute to continued growth. Identifying acquisition candidates, executing transactions and integrating them are increasingly being driven within the platforms, where proximity to customers and markets creates a strong flow of opportunities. Combining the companies' market knowledge and operational expertise with Volati's experience in acquisitions and capital allocation, creates conditions for continued development and expansion.

Competence and leadership

Volati works long term with competence development, leadership succession and succession planning to ensure the right capabilities at different stages of the businesses' development. Through leadership programmes, training initiatives and the exchange of experience between platforms, the organisations' ability to develop and drive growth over time is strengthened.
